Stratford Winterfest
The 15th Annual Winterfest was a great success and this year's theme was "Blast from the Past", which celebrated popular activities since the beginning of this great event in 1998. Royal Palisade Retirement Community stepped up to be the major sponsor this year, sponsoring the popular Extreme Trampoline Show, an Olympic-style trampoline show, which drew huge crowds for three shows each day on both Saturday and Sunday. The weather cooperated as well with the perfect amount of snow and bright sunny skies each day! The Stratford Festival Marquee was also available for warming up, getting your face painted, trying on Theatre costumes or just watching over the action in Lower Queen's Park. Some of the activies and events included Badminton open houses, Battle of the Bands, Murder Mystery night, Big Screen Movie, Winterfest Dance, Dog Sled Rides, Pancake Breakfast, Tobogganing, Apple Land train, "The Snow Man Stroll" and Yuk Yuk's Dinner and Show. It was such a great weekend for the community. A very special mention to all the fantastic volunteers for all their hard work and efforts with months of planning.
